Just curious what you guys are paying for cable/internets in your areas.

There's a "deal" where you can get internets/cable/land-line telephone for $99/month in Boston. Of course there's $257 in one-time/installation fees that go right along with it.

It's two-part.

Owning a television device makes you liable to pay a "license" and that license then funds the public state-funded channels. It's like $200 a year but I don't own a set myself so I'm not paying. The TV I watch, I watch at the TV in our living room, a TV that no one really owns, so even if they showed up and demanded a license fee I don't think they could charge us.

The rest of it (we have like MTV, Eurosport, Discovery and a few Swedish and Danish channels) is included in my rent. I have no idea how much it is.

I don't have a land line.

You have Cox cable up there correct? Or is it Comcast?

I have that, but only a $10 installation fee. I pay a bit more because I have the silver package and a DVR.
