Paulybobs 10-03-2008, 05:48 PM Just wasted an hour watching new Salah videos and a bunch of Liquid oldies. <3 greenleaf 10-03-2008, 05:55 PM As much as I appreciate and love dance, it's not as imperative as you make it out to be. I consider it another sport or hobby. Chill out. Did you learn some moves from youtube vids and work the floor now? trolling at it's best. first of all, it's imperative. if you don't think so, look at any culture. they all have dance and a lot of cultures dance a heck of a lot more than americans do. with all the over-hyped machismo, lack of culture, conservative/religious nature, narrow-mindedness, and obesity here, it's not surprising. example: bboying in america has mostly been an underground scene. even to THIS DAY even though it was BORN HERE. then you look at Korea where the bboys are now international champions, and the dance style has propegated the ENTIRE culture with big battles drawing crowds in the THOUSANDS. in the US i'm lucky to see ever a couple to few hundred at a jam, even the well known ones. and actually i sessioned with the oakland breakerz and the headhunters crew in sobay. headhunters which compete on a national and semi-international level and oakland breakerz being some of the best bboys i've seen in the bay area. the best footwork bboy i've ever seen (on the oakland breakerz) who sessioned with ichigeki crew (one of the top bboy crews in japan) was my mentor. that's where i learned my skills. i got into it and had talent because i had passion and practiced everyday with my boys learning and lovin it. get over yourself. just cause daddy and mommy sent you to classes when you were young don't mean you understand shit better than i do. i came up on my own, created my own style, and pushed through the physical and social barriers that bboying requires with my own discipline and outgoing nature. i went up and out of my comfort zone for my passion, chillin and sessioning wit bboys who were way better than i but still pushed myself til i was recognized and respected. and that's not as easy as enrolling in some class. but i wouldn't expect some presumptuous and privileged person like you to understand. ur always acting so high and mighty tryin to put others down so you can feel like the shit. pretty pathetic, vikk. reminding me of the reason why i first got into that lame flame war with you all those years ago. i'm glad to now know that it was ur prob and not mine. lol. the fact that you mentioned, and apparently still harbor feelings over a flame war that was "all those years ago" confirms quite a bit. lol. LOL Dude, stop calling it a flame war. It makes it sound like we were both loserly when there is only loser here! uh ooooh. Was that a flame? I dunno. And nice try assuming my dance background. I don't count those measly years of ballet as part of my background. Go back to your youtube dancin' with yo' jap boys. Mad respect. yeye. I will reiterate once again, that I have a passion for dance of all kinds and in no way think that dancers = faggots. And you know what, Ed? In most cultures, dance is still not considered a life priority nor the only cure for obesity and lack of coordination. Yet, literature is obviously not imperative for you, although it's an integral part of every ancient and present day civilization. What? Oh yeah. Chill out. LOL. omg, i'm actually lol. first of all, if you're posting on this forum, it's required that you admit you're a loser. IF ONLY for the period of time during which you post. secondly, i wasn't assuming your dance background, you were assuming mine = flame war requiring two people you being the first to instigate. do you not realize that even in your quote you are the one starting this particular incident by assuming MY dance background? what was it you said about literature and reading btw? ya done, son. i never said you said that dancers = faggots. i don't even know where you got that one. i guess you just make it up as you go along. and dancing or using your body in any physically expressive function, actually IS an integral part of life from many varied perspectives and is more valued in certain other cultures vs america's. did i SAY it was one of their CORE values? i studied nutrisci/tox/pub health and if you don't do SOME kind of habitual exercise, then that's pretty bad just as a HUMAN. and as an artist, a dancer, a martial artist, i might also go further to say other things just for the sake of argument but NOT because i wholly believe them or use these principles to judge myself or other people. and i won't bother to share these because i know ppl will just take it as faggotry and will assume it means it's my life's doctrine vs one random concept i use in tandem with myriad others to rationalize experiencing life to it's fullest. you're the one assuming that i don't read either. i am well read and know a lot. when i write papers, articles, etc, i am very careful and can do it quite well. i do not waste this effort or thought when i'm being a loser and typing on a forum like this one. and especially when i'm having to direct any measure of attention towards a lame chick like you that irl i prolly wouldn't give the time of day. i know your type and am laughing at your weak attempts at telling me to "chill out." unlike you, i have nothing here requiring me to be a mature person and not give you shit. i don't know anyone here irl and have nothing to give a shit about re: everyone. it's why my posts tend to be quite arbitrary in nature. ppl here think it's a show of how much a care, but it's more a show of how little i actually care. irl i'm always the bigger person and it's nice to be able to call stupid people "stupid" for once and really call them out if they're gonna call ME out. let's not forget what your first post in my thread was. it's also hilarious because if someone were to tell me that you were going to post in any thread of mine in the future, i could already have predicted you'd give a shit about something i said and then say something dismissive to seem "too school for school" compared to me in some way. it's literally HILARIOUS how predictable girls like you are. btw, i'll chill out when you stop posting in my threads and talking to me at all. and please don't call me "Ed." that's a name i reserve for my friends. if i ever meet you irl and ur not as lame as you are on this forum, then maybe i'll consider not being offended by it. and lastly, if you have some kind of crush on me and that's why you can't just leave me alone, cause ur such an alpha chick right, then just say so. otherwise, stfu and gtfo. oh yeah and don't forget to chill. greenleaf 10-03-2008, 05:59 PM this thread is lame and over btw. thanks to everyone who hates me yet again for successful derail. i actually was starting to enjoy the responses and you guys came just in time to annoy the hell out of me. sorry to everyone else who just for the most part ignores me. thanks for stopping by and i had fun reading ur posts... esp the wellington reference  i'll stop posting in my own thread now so as not to ruin it any further than i have. funny how that works... but i guess my internets skillz just sucks like that. i'll just... take a break and hit up /b/ and spare you all for the weekend... v 10-03-2008, 06:02 PM Didn't read. But I think someone got mad that even internet people won't validate him. Edit: oh shiiit. i'll just... take a break and hit up /b/ and spare you all for the weekend...
