If this is going to happen, a Teamspeak, as well as Ventrillo Server should also be considered.

* IRC-related persistent processes of any kind (including, but not limited to, bots, bouncers, etc.) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and are in violation of our TOS.
* BitTorrent-related processes are not allowed.
* Streaming Audio or Video servers of any kind are not allowed on shared hosting servers.
* Voice chat or VoIP servers like Asterisk, Ventrilo and TeamSpeak are not permitted.
* Game servers (CounterStrike, WoW, BF2, etc.) are also not permitted.
* Alternate services and daemons (Finger, OpenLDAP, etc.) may not be run.
* Running programs via cron is allowed provided you don't use excessive system resources.

I could try putting ads on here and if I get enough revenue I could upgrade and offer some more features. I'm not sure theres enough traffic to bring in much money though.

mIRC is a free service, as far as I know. So that would be a good route to go. Although, people would have to download the program to run it... If people were willing to do that it would work well.

I think it might be a good idea.

At the least what would happen if it didn't work out? Nothing, no loss or gain.

Buddix, does clicking on the ads help you? I know you said not to click repeatedly because you get penalized. But if we all just make sure to click like 5 different ads/day - would that be helpful for you?

No it wont help the clicks need to be natural. And some of the ads are just for every thousand impressions so clicking doesnt matter.

What would help is more people reading the forum and more results in google which should come over time. Like I said on another thread I may put in bigger ads after the first post in threads. These would only display for users not logged in, so people with accounts who log in would not notice a difference.

Ok I added ads after the first posts in threads. They should display for guests only.
