Two Pigeons Kissing

Two pigeons within the morning-

November solar

sitting on a tree-branch,

kissing outdoors my window…

(as if nobody’s round);

trying right here and there!

The blue-headed one, choosing

at its wings….

(I am pondering, staring-:

can life be so easy?)

Dos Pichones Besándose

¡Dos pichones en la mañana-

en el sol de noviembre

sentados en una rama del árbol,

están besándose afuera de mi ventana…

(como si nadie estuviera alrededor);

mirando aquí y allá!

El de la cabeza azul, picoteándose

sus alas…

(Mirando fijamente, estoy pensando-:

¿Puede la vida ser tan easy?)

-The Ragged Sparrow

((Winters in Minnesota) (a narrative of compassion))

In winter in Minnesota the times are short, the season lengthy, and the whole lot turns to a light and generally darkish grey; snow hides the whole lot, like an enormous white umbrella. The Countryside, even town produces profound emotions of disenchantment, haunted by the ragged trying sparrows (and a few squirrels); often, the solar flutters by means of the desolate sky and its clouds, and contained in the winds resides gloom, you squint your eyes after some time within the limitless white on white-snow.
